The best what you can do is to check quite often special offer from Ryanair.You can book a flight even for 1 cent to Palma de Mallorca!!

After season is also very nice and warm in that place like Mallorca, Ibiza, Malta etc. and the different is, you can find a hotel for a really good and cheap price.Also by Ryanair.
And why you should stay in cold and wet country like Ireland or UK during the winter time if you can go to Mallorca?:)
Taxi is good but bus is better:)and cheaper.If you know how to get from the airport to the hotel, or city center why not use the bus?
You can cook :)Not all the time have to go to eat at the restaurant.And believe me, you do not have to buy everything what you will see:)
And before you go, check first and find out more about the place where are you going.
